As the current favorite, two-way superstar Travis Hunter is expected to become the second Colorado football player to win the prestigious Heisman Trophy, joining 1994 winner Rashaan Salaam.
Hunter, a projected first-round NFL draft pick, dominated at both cornerback and wide receiver throughout his junior season. Others who could become finalists include Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, Miami quarterback Cam Ward and possibly Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders.
In 12 games played this season, Hunter recorded 1,152 receiving yards, 15 total touchdowns, four interceptions and 15 passes defended.
The 2024 Heisman Trophy finalists will be announced on Dec. 9, five days before the winner is revealed on Dec. 14.
