A Los Angeles Lakers – Dennis Schroder reunion may be on the horizon for the former Boston Celtics guard

Pending how the rest of LA’s roster shakes out, we might see the former Boston floor general back with the Lake Show.

Could a return to the Los Angeles Lakers be in the cards for former Boston Celtics floor general Dennis Schroder? The German point guard famously turned down a lucrative extension with Los Angeles before joining the Celtics on a mini- midlevel exception last season after cap space and the market for his services dried up and did not have an especially good season with the Celtics before he was dealt to the Houston Rockets as part of the trade for big man Daniel Theis.

The case can be made that much of the problem was a matter of fit given Schroder still has plenty to offer a team in need of the scoring and drive-and-kick style of play he can provide, but as of this writing, the former Boston guard remains unsigned.

That may change pending how the Lakers’ roster shakes out, with Substack’s Marc Stein’s relating that a Schroder reunion is “a legit consideration” for LA.
