A flood or linebackers: Noah Shaw commits to Rutgers football

Noah Shaw commits to Rutgers football.

The linebackers lined up two-by-two for Rutgers football, with the Scarlet Knights landing their second linebacker in as many days. Noah Shaw committed to Rutgers on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Rutgers received a commitment from Samarian Robinson, a three-star linebacker from Florida.

Shaw, from Asheville, NC, took an official visit to Rutgers on June 2. He held Power Five offers from Duke, Missouri and Vanderbilt along with offers from Appalachian State, UConn, East Carolina and Tulane among others.

He is a 6-foot-1 linebacker who is a three-star on both Rivals and 247Sports.

He tweeted about his commitment to Rutgers on Thursday afternoon.

 

Rutgers now holds the No. 27 recruiting class in the nation according to 247Sports.

Shaw joins a recruiting class that now features 16 commits and three linebackers. In addition to Robinson and Shaw, who committed in back-to-back days, Rutgers received a commitment on June 10 from Montele Johnson.

A three-star linebacker from Michigan, Johnson held offers from Boston College, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri and West Virginia.

He is the third commitment that Rutgers has landed this recruiting class from North Carolina.
