Michigan already has five offensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting class out of the 17 commitments.
But when you are the program coming off two straight Joe Moore Award-winning seasons for having the best offensive line in the country, it’s understood high-end talent will want to come play for you. Of the five offensive linemen committed in the 2024 cycle, three are four-stars and the other two are high three-stars.
And it appears Michigan could add to that total soon. On Monday, a crystal ball prediction came in from 247Sports for four-star offensive tackle Bennett Warren to come to the Wolverines. Steve Lorenz, from The Michigan Insider, is the one who cast a crystal ball with a confidence of 4.
Bennett, the 6-foot-8 offensive tackle, plays his high school ball at Sugar Land (Texas) Fort Bend Christian Academy. According to the 247Sports composite, he is the 175th-ranked recruit in the 2024 cycle. According to 247Sports itself, Bennett is a top-100 recruit who comes in at No. 85 in the class.
Warren announced on Twitter he would come out with his top four at some point this week. It looks as if Michigan and Texas A&M lead to get the big 6-foot-8, 330-pound lineman. There is also one crystal ball placed on Warren to go to the Aggies on 247Sports. And if you look at the On3 recruiting prediction machine, Texas A&M holds a slight lead at 21.4% to get Warren.
Last season, Warren primarily played right tackle during his junior year. He is scheduled to take an official visit to Michigan this weekend on June 9.
