Former Florida State wide receiver will reportedly visit Texas A&M

Texas A&M will receive a visit from former Florida State wide receiver Malik Benson during the dead period

Texas A&M’s search for the final piece to the 2025 wide receiver corps still includes North Carolina State transfer wide receiver KC Concepcion. However, until the veteran pass catcher makes his final choice, the Aggies are still searching for other options.

On Tuesday, Rivals’ Texas A&M recruiting insider reported that Florida State veteran wide receiver Malik Benson, who, due to the new JUCO rule that permits former junior college players to compete in the Division 1 ranks next season, will visit Texas A&M during the dead period.

During the 2024 season, the former Alabama wideout recorded 25 receptions for 311 yards and a touchdown, including a 12.4 reception average during his final season with the Seminoles.

Standing at 6-1 and nearly 200 pounds, Benson is a clean route runner with run-after-catch ability, earning a 60.3 receiving grade per Pro Football Focus. Benson was the No. 1-ranked JUCO prospect before committing to Alabama, so it’s clear his skillset remains intact and needs a change of venue before eventually heading to the NFL.

Texas A&M’s 2025 wide receiver room is very talented but very young, so a potential Malik Benson addition would likely become the final piece to the puzzle if Concepcion commits elsewhere.
