Tennessee guard Jordan Gainey converted a layup as time expired to give the Vols a two-point win. He led the Vols in scoring with 23 points.
Igor Milicic Jr. led Tennessee in rebounds with 14.
Chaz Lanier scored 17 points for the Vols. He converted 5-of-17 field goal attempts, 2-of-6 three-point attempts and 5-of-9 free throw attempts.
The Vols totaled 30 bench points, 22 points in the paint, 12 points off turnovers, eight second chance points and four fast break points.
