Where is 11-2 Penn State in the updated US LBM Coaches Poll after Big Ten championship loss?

The final US LBM Coaches Poll saw Penn State take a slight hit after the Big Ten championship game.

Penn State fell to no. 5 in the AP Top 25 earlier in the day while waiting to learn its College Football Playoff fate. Penn State also fell to no. 5 in the updated US LBM Coaches Poll, which was released on Sunday ahead fop the reveal of the College Football Playoff bracket.

Penn State came up short against Oregon in Saturday night’s Big Ten championship game. The loss was the second of the season for the Nittany Lions. Oregon took the top spot in the coaches poll with all 54 first-place votes in their favor.

Penn State and Texas each fell two spots to no. 4 and no. 5, respectively. Notre Dame tooka advantage by moving up to no. 3 ahead fo both conference championship game losers while sitting at home in South Bend.

Penn State stayed ahead of no. 6 Tennessee and no. 7 Ohio State.

Indiana ranked no. 9 and Illinois ranked no. 21 to give the Big Ten a total of five ranked teams in the final US LBM Coache sPoll before the College Football Playoff and bowl season commence.

Now it is time to focus on the playoff bracket.
