The Kansas City Chiefs are in Charleston this weekend taking on the Carolina Panthers, and with the reigning Super Bowl champs out of town, the Kansas Jayhawks took their place at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Jayhawks had a rough start to the season, going 1-6 through the first seven games of head coach Lance Leipold’s third campaign with Kansas.
The Jayhawks fought back to lift themselves to 4-6 over the past few weeks, and with a trip to a third-straight bowl game on the line, Kansas tightened up in crunch time to soar past Coach Prime the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday.
Shifty running back Devin Neal took over the exciting Big 12 matchup, tallying 287 total yards and four touchdowns on 37 rushes and four catches.
After playing spoiler in back-to-back weeks, the Jayhawks could be on their way to another bowl game if they can grind out another win against the Baylor Bears next Saturday.
