Four Big Ten teams make top six of US LBM Coaches Poll

Four Big Ten football teams occupy the top six ranking spots in the new US LBM Coaches Poll, all while USC is struggling to even make a bowl game.

The USC Trojans are near the bottom of the Big Ten. Meanwhile, four Big Ten teams are in the top six of the latest US LBM Coaches Poll, presented by USA TODAY Sports. The Big Ten has a great chance to get four teams into the College Football Playoff.

Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, and Indiana are the four Big Ten teams in the top six of the latest poll. Two of those four teams will meet in the Big Ten Championship Game. There is a possibility that this four-team group could beat each other up and bump one of the group out of the playoff, but right now, the distribution of wins and losses is very favorable for the Big Ten to get four teams in, all while USC languishes in mediocrity and might not even make a bowl game. USC needs two wins in its remaining three games to get a bowl bid. The Trojans’ next game is against Nebraska this coming Saturday, with Jayden Maiava getting the start over Miller Moss and offering USC fans a glimpse of what 2025 could look like.
