The Oklahoma City Thunder (4-0) take on the Portland Trail Blazers (2-3) Friday at Moda Center. Tipoff is set for 10 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Thunder vs. Trail Blazers odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting; Thunder won 4-0 last year

The Thunder rolled in a 105-93 victory over the San Antonio Spurs Wednesday night. They failed to cover a lofty 12.5-point spread, though. G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had an off night with “just” 18 points on 7-for-20 (2-for-10 from 3-point range) shooting. F Luguentz Dort (20) and C Chet Holmgren (19) had his back with 39 points combined.

The Blazers snipped the LA Clippers 106-105 in a Wednesday road victory as 8-point dogs. G Anfernee Simons had a team-high 25 points. C Deandre Ayton was one of the 5 players in double figures with 15 points and 12 boards. The Blazers have won 2 of 3.

Thunder at Trail Blazers picks and predictions

Prediction

Thunder 109, Trail Blazers 101

Moneyline

The Blazers are an improved team, and once they get some of their parts healthy again, they could see a significant boost to their win total. However, OKC is finding ways to win in SGA’s off nights and are building chemistry for June.

I don’t see any upsets here, but OKC -650 is way out of our price range. Instead, I’m keying in on Holmgren. Opposing him, Ayton has been under fire for not being a great interior defender his whole career. Meanwhile, Holmgren’s numbers are way up from his first year last season. His 22.5 PPG (16.5 last year), 11.0 RPG (7.9) and 3.5 blocks (2.3) are all way up early on. I could see a 20-and-10 performance here.

Take CHET HOLMGREN OVER 30.5 POINTS+REBOUNDS+ASSISTS (-125).

Against the spread

The Blazers were engulfed 140-104 in their home opener by the Golden State Warriors. After that, they’ve gone 3-0-1 ATS.

So while I’m selling OKC here, don’t undersell Portland at home in this spot. They have held teams to 106 PPG after that smashing by the Dubs.

Take TRAIL BLAZERS +11.5 (-110).

Over/Under

As mentioned, the Blazers have kept teams from dropping more than 111 on them in the last 4 games. Meanwhile, OKC is just 17th with 112.3 PPG and 27th at 31.2% from distance.

I really like the UNDER 220.5 (-110) here.
