Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is back as the main injury focus, this time ahead of the Week 9 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Higgins suffered an injury late last week and missed the team’s blowout loss at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles. He suffered a quad injury in practice.
Tee Higgins injury update
- Update: Higgins is doubtful to play in Week 9.
- Speaking with reporters on Monday before Week 9, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said he considers Higgins as a day-to-day player.
How long will Tee Higgins be out?
- Impossible to say, given Higgins’ extensive history with soft-tissue injuries. This one happened running a route in practice on a Friday, which is usually a lighter day before a game. And Taylor throws out “day-to-day” often, especially before injury reports come out and get more detailed.
Bengals depth chart
- Ja’Marr Chase, Andrei Iosivas, Trenton Irwin, Jermaine Burton, Charlie Jones
Iosivas was brutal in Week 8 when asked to take on a bigger role. Perhaps this leads to a bigger workload for the rookie Burton, though he’s had a troubled path to playing time too.
