Did Clemson rise or fall in new US LBM Coaches Poll after bye week?

Here’s where Clemson ranks in the new US LBM Coaches Poll, released Sunday following Week 9 action.

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers moved up one spot to No. 8 in the new US LBM Coaches Poll, released Sunday.

The Tigers jumped past the LSU Tigers, who fell 38-23 to the Texas A&M Aggies Saturday night at Kyle Field in College Station.

The top six teams in the Coaches Poll remained the same. The Oregon Ducks (8-0) stayed at No. 1 after a dominant 38-9 win over the Illinois Fighting Illini. The Georgia Bulldogs (6-1) were No. 2 with the Penn State Nittany Lions (7-0) at No. 3.

The Ohio State Buckeyes (No. 4, 6-1) and Miami Hurricanes (No. 5, 8-0) rounded out the top five with the Texas Longhorns (7-1) at No. 6.

Clemson ranked one spot below the Tennessee Volunteers (6-1) at No. 7 and one spot ahead of Notre Dame (7-1) at No. 9 following the Fighting Irish’s 51-14 win over previously ranked Navy. The Iowa State Cyclones (7-0) stayed at No. 10.

Within the ACC, the Pitt Panthers (7-0) rose three spots to No. 17 while the SMU Mustangs (7-1) moved up two spots to No. 20.

Clemson Schedule 2024

The Tigers will host the Louisville Cardinals next Saturday in Death Valley at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on ESPN.
