Michigan State football picked up a massive win this past weekend and, not surprisingly, experienced a big jump in the latest USA TODAY 134-team rankings.
The Spartans moved up 13 spots in the latest edition of Paul Myerberg’s college football re-rank. Michigan State moved up to No. 58.
Michigan State is 12th out of the 18 Big Ten teams. The Spartans are ahead of Rutgers (No. 63), Maryland (No. 65), Minnesota (No. 68), Northwestern (No. 81), UCLA (No. 106) and Purdue (No. 113).
Michigan State is 4-3 (2-2 Big Ten) following the win over Iowa this past weekend. The Spartans will face in-state rival Michigan on Saturday night in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
