GameDay stalwart Lee Corso has missed the last two weeks of the show due to health concerns, but he was on hand for the Austin show.
Host Rece Davis and Corso was joined by Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban. College football reporter Pete Thamel, college football betting analyst ‘Stanford Steve’ Coughlin and reporters Jen Lada and Jess Sims rounded out the crew.
Olympic gold medalist Gabby Thomas and comedian Tony Hinchcliffe also dropped by the show for a segment.
ESPN is calling this “Texas Takeover” Weekend. In addition to College GameDay and the Georgia-Texas game Saturday night, the network is carrying the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix. The premier F1 race in America will be held at the Circuit of The Americas outside of Austin on Sunday.
