Two of the best teams in college football will meet on Saturday: the Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Longhorns. The Longhorns look to keep their undefeated season alive, while the Bulldogs look to climb the national rankings.
Georgia already has one loss in conference play. It has been led by Carson Beck, who has 1,818 passing yards and 15 passing touchdowns through six games. He has received help from running back from Trevor Etienne, who is averaging 5.3 yards per carry.

The Bulldogs will be tasked with stopping an offense led by Quinn Ewers and a defense led by Anthony Hill Jr. Due to the star-studded cast, this game should provide plenty of memorable moments.
Jamie Gatlin’s Prediction:
On Saturday, the Texas Longhorns will face their toughest test of the season. The Georgia Bulldogs are ranked fifth and have won two straight games. However, they have a lot on the line since they already have one loss this season.
As the Bulldogs look to keep their playoff hopes alive, they will face a talented Longhorns team. Entering this game, the Longhorns are averaging 43.2 points a game and have scored at least 30 points in every game this season. They have shown no signs of slowing and are poised for a big afternoon against the Bulldogs.
With a healthy roster, the Longhorns present a tough challenge for Georgia. The Bulldogs will not only have to shut down Quinn Ewers and his weapons but also solve a defense that has been one of the best in the country. Expect the Longhorns’ undefeated streak to continue on Saturday.
Final Score: Texas 38, Georgia 14
Trey Luerssen’s Prediction:
From a Longhorns perspective, the thing that scares me is Georgia comes in desperate.
A loss doesn’t necessarily knock the Bulldogs out of college football playoff contention, but they may not control their playoff path anymore. A loss would give Georgia zero margin for error for the rest of the year. Another loss possible ends their playoff chances.
Texas is riding high, feeling good, and trying to keep the hype train rollin’. Happy to be here in the SEC.
Georgia is fighting for its season. With past iterations of the Longhorns, I’d be very, very pessimistic. These are the games Texas always seems to be taken down a peg. But this isn’t a team from the past.
This Texas team seems to stay hungry. It hasn’t failed yet. It would be unfair to just assume it will. What the eyes tell me, based on the 2024 version of the Longhorns, is the Horns are the better team.
Has Texas benefited from what became an easier schedule? We’ll see. Georgia is a talented team that was preseason No. 1 for a reason. But UT has been better at almost every position this season.
Until proven otherwise, this team looks championship caliber legit.
Final Score: Texas 38, Georgia 24
