Oregon Ducks flip 4-star DL Viliami Moala, adding to No. 1 class in 2026

Dan Lanning took a 4-star recruit from Lincoln Riley to start off his Monday morning.

The Oregon Ducks took over the top spot in the 2026 recruiting class on Sunday with the addition of four-star defensive lineman Tomuhini Topui, and the strengthened that position on Monday with another blue-chip commitment.

Four-star defensive lineman Viliami Moala announced his decommitment from the USC Trojans late Sunday night and flipped to Oregon early Monday morning.

Moala is the No. 348 player and the No. 37 defensive lineman in the nation in the 2026 class. Standing at 6 feet, 3 inches and 305 pounds, Moala will be a bruiser in the middle of the defense for the Ducks, and fits the mold of what Dan Lanning, Tosh Lupoi and Tony Tuioti have been building in Eugene.

With the addition, Oregon has seven commitments in the class of 2026 and is a clear No. 1 class in the nation. Led by offensive tackle Kodi Greene, running back Tradarian Ball and quarterback Jonas Williams, Lanning is looking to build the strongest recruiting class in his career, and the early jump that the Ducks have is a great start.
