Ohio State Buckeyes tease special uniform for top-five matchup vs. Oregon Ducks

Is Ohio State teasing the all-whites vs. Oregon? Only time will tell.

We know that the No. 3 Oregon Ducks are going with a black-out theme on Saturday night, debuting their new ‘Fly Era’ uniforms from the ‘Generation O’ series for the top-five matchup against the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes.

It appears that the Buckeyes might be doing the exact opposite.

While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, Ohio State teased on social media that they might be wearing all-white for this away game against Oregon, posting a graphic of an Ohio State helmet that was frozen with icicles, using a single snowflake emoji as the caption.

While the Buckeyes’ typical road uniform consists of the classic gray pants, white jersey, and gray helmet, they did wear a special all-white uniform combo on the road against the Michigan Wolverines in 2013, with white pants, white jerseys, and chrome helmet.

Might we see that again this weekend against the Ducks?

Chances are that we will have to wait until players take the field on Saturday afternoon to know for sure, but it would certainly signify a special occasion, as the Buckeyes don’t stray from their typical uniforms often. Last week against Iowa, they wore their alternate gray uniforms, but it’s rare that they change things up on the road.
