Kickoff time, TV channel revealed for Wisconsin Badgers’ Week 8 game at Northwestern

The Wisconsin Badgers will square off against the Northwestern Wildcats at noon ET, 11 a.m. CT on Oct. 19 at the team’s temporary stadium in Evanston, Illinois.

The contest will mark Wisconsin’s fourth consecutive conference game of the 2024 season: the first three were against USC (a 38-21 loss), Purdue (a 52-6 win) and Rutgers (Oct. 12). The game against the Wildcats will also be aired on Big Ten Network.

This will also be the third straight and fourth overall game Wisconsin will play at noon ET this season. Luke Fickell’s group played in the early window against the No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide, the Boilermakers and Rutgers (Oct. 12).

Wisconsin will enter the game against Northwestern at either 3-3 or 4-2. The Wildcats, meanwhile, currently hold a 2-3 record through five games of the 2024 season. NU’s lone wins came against Miami (Ohio) and Eastern Illinois, and the team lost to Duke, No. 18 Indiana and Washington thus far.

Wisconsin is 5-5 in its last 10 games against the Wildcats. UW dropped its 2023 contest to Northwestern 24-10 in Madison on Nov. 11 after dominating in its previous two against the Big Ten foe in 2021 and 2022. UW has won 61 games against Northwestern dating back to 1890.

If the Badgers aim to contend for a top-tier bowl game, Fickell’s team will need to secure a gritty win on the road. After the Wildcats, UW will square off against No. 4 Penn State, Iowa and No. 3 Oregon in the three following games.
