It’s OK, Troy Aikman. This has happened before with someone in the broadcast booth calling Taylor Swift something she’s not — in relation to Travis Kelce, we mean — like how Tony Romo called her his wife.
But Aikman knew he messed up on Monday when he said “the missus likes it” while ESPN cameras showed Swift cheering for Kelce.
“You know they’re not married,” his broadcast partner Joe Buck replied.
“I’m sure I’m in trouble for saying that,” Aikman said.
“It happens,” Buck said. “”My daughters have warned me multiple times today. ‘Dad, I know you think you’re funny. Don’t make any jokes.'”
