If there’s one thing Travis Kelce loves to do on a football field, it’s throw a lateral. In the second quarter of the Kansas City Monday night game against New Orleans, Kelce pitched the ball to teammate Samaje Perine on a 3rd-and-21 play that ended up getting 20 yards. The Chiefs would convert on 4th-and-1 and go on to kick a field goal before halftime.
Kelce had an incredible lateral to Kadarius Toney in a December 2023 loss to the Bills, but an offsides penalty wiped the ensuing touchdown off the scoreboard.
This time, it counted. The crowd loved it, and according to video taken by fans in attendance, Kelce’s pop star girlfriend Taylor Swift seemingly loved it, too.
