LSU sees another bump in US LBM Coaches Poll after South Alabama win

The Tigers are moving up as they head into the bye week.

While some thought Saturday’s game against South Alabama posed a potential trap for LSU, coach Brian Kelly’s team avoided falling into it. The Tigers won 42-10, jumping out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and never looking back.

As LSU heads into the bye, it will be two weeks before it faces another major test when Ole Miss comes to town. In the meantime, it’s still moving up in the US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 5.

The Tigers rose one spot to No. 12, jumping Utah, which lost at home to Arizona and fell eight spots as a result. They’re one of nine ranked SEC teams, including five within the top 10.
