Cardinals inactives: Kelvin Beachum out, Greg Dortch to play vs. Lions

The Cardinals had to face the Lions with a third-string right tackle.

The Arizona Cardinals released their list of inactive players for their Week 3 game against the Detroit Lions 90 minutes before kickoff. As expected, receiver Greg Dortch, questionable for the game with a hamstring injury, was not on it. He would suit up and play.

However, starting right tackle Kelvin Beachum was deactivated. He suffered a hamstring injury during the week and was officially questionable for the game. The Cardinals elevated tackles Jackson Barton and Charlie Heck from the practice squad. One of them was set to start in his place.

Second-year defensive lineman Dante Stills, questionable for the game with a shoulder injury, was set to play, giving them all six D-linemen active and available to play.

These are the Cardinals’ inactive players in Week 3:

Arizona Cardinals Week 3 inactive list

  • OL Kelvin Beachum
  • CB Darren Hall
  • LB Jesse Luketa
  • LB Victor Dimukeje
  • OL Jon Gaines II
  • TE Travis Vokolek
  • WR Xavier Weaver

Hall, Luketa, Gaines, Vokolek and Weaver have all been inactive for three straight weeks. Dimukeje played in the first two games. The Cardinals likely expect to use more base defenses with three down linemen.
