Certainly, Michigan football fans have issues with former Florida State quarterback Danny Kanell after he blasted the Wolverines in the aftermath of the Connor Stalions saga. But this will help win them back to his side.
Kanell has been outspoken in recent weeks about Ohio State’s weak nonconference schedule this year, and he’s received his fair share of blowback from south of Monroe County. In no way was Kanell saying the Buckeyes aren’t good, but that doesn’t mean the schedule is high caliber and what they’re doing against lesser teams is particularly impressive.
But he pushes back on the pushback and uses Michigan football to do so.
Your schedule can be garbage AND your team can be awesome.
A concept that some fan bases have a really hard time grasping. I guess if I had been whooped by my rival 3 years in a row I would be a little sensitive too…

Priceless.
Of course, Michigan was blasted each of the past two years for having a weak nonconference schedule, but it has had strong early opponents in most years and does so again this year with Texas having come to The Big House. But the Wolverines won the national championship last year and it remains to be seen if Ohio State can replicate the Wolverines’ success of late.
