Lions’ Jared Goff hasn’t lost to Cardinals since rookie season

Goff is 8-0 since 2017 against Arizona with 14 touchdowns passes and three rushing touchdowns.

The Arizona Cardinals’ Week 3 opponents are the Detroit Lions, whom they face at home this Sunday. They are led by quarterback Jared Goff.

Goff has had the Cardinals’ number for years.

He is 8-1 against them and has won eight straight games against them.

The Cardinals have not beaten Goff since his rookie season in 2016. In that game, they beat the L.A. Rams 44-6 and sacked Goff seven times.

Since then, he is 8-0 with 14 touchdown passes and three interceptions. He has rushed for three touchdowns as well. In those eight games, he has been sacked 11 times.

Seven of those starts came while he was with the Rams.

In his one start for the Lions against the Cardinals, it was a 30-12 win in 2021. He completed 21-of-26 passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns.

The Cardinals have not beaten Goff since 2016. They have not beaten the Lions since 2015.

They got a 10-year monkey off their back with their first home win over the Rams on Sunday in a decade. Can they finally best Goff this weekend?
