Nebraska football gained a prediction in its favor on Sunday night. On3’s Steve Wilfong put in a prediction for 2026 four-star athlete Matt Ludwig.
The Montana native is the 16th-ranked athlete in his class and the top player in the state of Montana, per the On3 recruiting rankings. He plays tight end, quarterback and linebacker for Billings West High School.
Ludwig has done his homework over the course of this year. He visited Nebraska on March 28, Texas Tech on June 7, Michigan on June 10 and Georgia on June 20 per his On3 profile. He was in Lincoln this weekend for Saturday’s victory over Northern Iowa.
Ludwig measures 6 feet, 4 inches and 230 pounds. The 2026 Nebraska football recruiting class has no commitments.
Ludwig’s versatility and size make him an intriguing player for both sides of the football. This Nebraska coaching staff does a sound job of taking athletes and putting them in positions to succeed. Development is a strong suit of this coaching staff, and Ludwig’s athleticism would certainly give the coaching staff something to work with.
