Big 12 takes hit in post-Week 3 US LBM Coaches Poll

The Big 12 wasn’t represented particularly well in the latest coaches poll

The Big 12 Conference wasn’t represented particularly well in the post-Week 3 US LBM Coaches Poll.

In a cannibalistic result, Kansas State’s 31-7 victory over Arizona on Friday knocked the losing Wildcats out of the top 25, giving the Big 12 only four ranked teams in the latest college football coaches poll. Arizona was ranked No. 18 last week before suffering its first defeat.

No. 10 Utah, which held off Utah State in Week 3, was the highest-ranked Big 12 team. No. 14 Kansas State, No. 15 Oklahoma State and No. 21 Iowa State followed close behind.

Four other Big 12 teams received votes: Arizona (37), UCF (27), Arizona State (15) and BYU (three). Colorado remained voteless following its 28-9 victory over Colorado State.
