Miami still leads ACC teams in new US LBM Coaches Poll

Three ACC football teams finished within the top 25 in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll.

USA TODAY Sports released the newest US LBM Coaches Poll on Sunday, and the Miami Hurricanes remain the class of the ACC.

Mario Cristobal’s team beat Ball State 62-0 on Saturday, the Hurricanes’ third straight blowout. Quarterback Cam Ward kept himself at the forefront of the Heisman conversation with five more touchdown passes, giving him 11 through his first three games in a Miami uniform.

The Hurricanes have averaged 53 points per game on offense with a point differential of +133, and they climbed one spot higher to 11th in the latest ranking.

The Clemson Tigers also moved up one spot to 19th despite not playing in Week 3, and the Louisville Cardinals remained one spot behind them in 20th. A half-dozen ACC teams appeared in the Receiving Votes category, led by a surprising 2-0 Syracuse team.

Here’s a breakdown of the complete Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.
