Packers QB Jordan Love officially inactive vs. Colts in Week 2

Malik Willis will start at quarterback for the Packers on Sunday against the Colts. Jordan Love (knee) is inactive.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is one of six inactive players for Matt LaFleur’s team on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2.

Love, who injured his knee in the season opener, didn’t practice all week. He was initially listed as questionable on the final injury report but was downgraded to doubtful on Saturday. Malik Willis is expected to start at quarterback, with Sean Clifford — who was elevated from the practice squad — as the primary backup.

A few positives: receiver Jayden Reed and running back MarShawn Lloyd are both active despite questionable listings.

Here is the full inactive list for the Packers:

QB Jordan Love
S Kitan Oladapo
DL Brenton Cox Jr.
T Andre Dillard
T Travis Glover
DL Colby Wooden

All but Love are healthy scratches.

Dillard and Glover are inactive, so Jordan Morgan, Jacob Monk and Kadeem Telfort are the three backups along the offensive line. Wooden is also inactive, leaving the Packers with only four interior defensive linemen active.

Receiver Malik Heath, a strong blocker, is active for the first time in 2024.

Lloyd will make his NFL debut. He’s been out since injuring his hamstring in the preseason opener.

Colts inactives:

S Julian Blackmon
WR Josh Downs
QB Sam Elingher
DE Genard Avery
OL Tanor Bortolini
OT Blake Freeland
TE Will Mallory

Top defensive lineman DeForest Buckner is active. So is defensive end Kwity Paye.
