MSU Football receives no votes in updated AP Top 25 Poll

Still no love for the Spartans from the media

Michigan State football picked up a big road upset this past weekend, but it wasn’t enough to generate any traction in the latest Associated Press (AP) rankings.

The updated AP Top 25 poll was released on Sunday, and Michigan State once again failed to receive any votes in the poll. The Spartans have yet to get a single vote in the poll this year.

Five teams from the Big Ten were ranked in this week’s AP poll: Ohio State (No. 3), Penn State (No. 8), USC (No. 11), Michigan (No. 17) and Nebraska (No. 22).

Michigan State is 2-0 on the year following Saturday’s comeback victory over Maryland. The Spartans will host Prairie View A&M this week, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET.

Michigan State received two votes in the Week 2 US LBM Coaches Poll released on Sunday as well. So the coaches apparently have more respect for the Spartans than the media.
