Huskers getting visit from 2026 4-star QB on Saturday

Nebraska continues to search for a quarterback in future recruiting classes.

Nebraska football has another 2026 quarterback visiting Lincoln on Saturday. West Virginia Mountaineers commit Brodie McWhorter will join the list of visitors to the primetime showdown. This was first reported by Rivals.com’s Tim Verghese.

McWhorter committed to West Virginia on June 24. He is a four-star quarterback. He is the 18th overall quarterback in the 2026 class, and the 34th overall player in his class from the state of Georgia per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. McWhorter’s offer sheet was extensive. He had 26 in total, including from the likes of Arkansas, Auburn, and Florida.

McWhorter completed 149 of 230 passes for 2,800 yards and 30 touchdowns for White Cass High School last season. He was named First-Team All-Region for his efforts.

He is the third quarterback on Saturday’s visit list. Huskers commit TJ Lateef and 2026 three-star quarterback Michael Clayton will also be in attendance.

It’s clear the Huskers want a quarterback for future classes. McWhorter would certainly not be a bad option for the program.
