Bills, OL Spencer Brown agree to contract extension

#Bills, OL Spencer Brown agree to contract extension:

The Buffalo Bills and offensive lineman Spencer Brown have agreed to a contract extension.

Just days prior to the start of the 2024 NFL season and the Bills’ first game against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, Brown has been inked to a four-year extension. He is signed through the 2028 season, the team has announced:

Terms of the extension have yet to be reported.

Brown, 26, was Buffalo’s third-round selection at the 2021 NFL draft. Viewed as a raw prospect out of Northern Iowa, Brown had a slow start to his NFL career and injuries did not help.

In 2023, Brown had a huge campaign. Pro Football Focus graded Brown a 68.1 overall for his efforts last season, a career-best from the football analytics outlet.

Brown will play on the final year of his rookie contract before his extension kicks in next season. That indicates that the Bills did not want to risk losing Brown after the 2024 season when he would have become a free agent.

Bills Wire will continue to provide all roster updates throughout the 2024 season.
