The YANKEES (-116) are a strong play behind the diminutive Stroman, who has been money on the road this season. He has a 5-1 record and 2.56 ERA on the road in 12 starts, while allowing just 3 HR, as opposed to a 5-5 mark, 4.86 ERA and 15 HR allowed in 14 starts at home.
The Rangers (-102) have been a little better lately, but it’s a tall order to beat the 80-win Yanks twice in a 3-game set. Texas just hasn’t been very consistent at all.
Run line/Against the spread
If you’re a little more on the conservative side, playing the Rangers +1.5 (-172) is just too expensive for my liking. If you’re going to roll the dice on Texas, just play it straight up.
