Post-Week 1 US LBM Coaches Poll leaves Colorado absent

What will it take for Colorado to crack the top 25?

Following an extended Week 1 of the 2024 college football season, the US LBM Coaches Poll went live on Tuesday.

Despite beating North Dakota State in its season opener, 31-26, Colorado didn’t receive any votes in the post-Week 1 poll. Head coach Deion Sanders and the Buffs picked up two votes in the preseason coaches poll, which was released in early August.

Colorado’s Week 2 opponent, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, earned eight votes, a slight boost from the two they received in the preseason poll. The Huskers took care of UTEP in their season opener, 40-7.

Five teams from the Big 12 Conference cracked the top 25: No. 11 Utah, No. 16 Kansas State, No. 17 Oklahoma State, No. 18 Arizona and No. 20 Kansas.
