Notre Dame is making believers out of skeptics after only one game. Experts who previously had the Irish out of the College Football Playoff have them in now. Sports media pundits are coming around, too.
During Tuesday’s edition of “The Pat McAfee Show,” program personality Boston Connor not only indicated his own belief in the Irish but went so far as to say they’re “all the way back” and that college football is better for it.
McAfee described the environment in which the Irish had to play Texas A&M, which he picked to win on “College GameDay.” Here’s the clip in its entirety (warning: NSFW language):

Now that expectations for the Irish have been raised, it’s up to them to live up to those expectations. Otherwise, we’ll be hearing the same old stuff about how they always disappoint. While that’s a lot of a pressure, it’s the reality.
