For the second time in seven days, the Longhorns have struck gold on the recruiting trail with the commitment of 5-star WR Jaime Ffrench.

For the second time in seven days, the Longhorns have struck gold on the recruiting trail. Friday morning, 5-star WR Jaime Ffrench committed to Texas.

Last Saturday, it was 5-star safety/linebacker Jonah Williams that gave Texas its first 5-star in the 2025 class. Now the Longhorns have two.

The 6-2, 175-pound Ffrench is ranked No. 16 overall by Rivals.com. He is the No. 2 WR and No. 3 ranked prospect from the state of Florida. Texas beat out Miami, LSU and Tennessee for the Jacksonville, FL standout.

On his official visit in June, freshman receiver Ryan Wingo was Ffrench’s host and the two out-of-state recruits formed a bond.  Ffrench told Jason Suchomel at OrangeBloods, “It’s a very similar situation with him being far from home and being a national kid. He was just giving me some touch points, some points on why I need to come to Texas and stuff like that. Really he was just showing me like a little brother role, taking me under his wing and showing me around, things like that.”
