No Bo Nix for Broncos in preseason finale vs. Cardinals

Nix, recently named the Broncos’ starting quarterback, will not play in the preseason finale against Arizona.

The Arizona Cardinals will not get to see Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix, recently named the team’s starting quarterback. Broncos head coach told reporters that Nix will be held out of the preseason finale this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals in Denver.

Nix, the 12th pick in this year’s NFL draft out of Oregon, won the starting job over Jared Stidham and Zach Wilson.

Stidham will get the start and play for a few snaps and the rest of the game will be for Wilson, the former No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 draft.

The Cardinals will have second-year quarterback Clayton Tune start with Desmond Ridder relieving him at some point.

The Cardinals and Broncos kick off Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Arizona time.
