Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson is coming off a rookie season where he looked very solid in the games he played, but he was limited to 4 games due to injuries. Richardson played well in his 4 outings last season, accounting for 7 touchdowns and only 2 turnovers while averaging more than 5 yards per carry and 6.9 yards per pass attempt.

Below, we look at Anthony Richardson’s 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Entering the upcoming season, he is expected to show why he was taken with the 4th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. He will look to build on a solid foundation that left Colts fans hopeful prior to his injury. If Richardson can stay healthy and take less hits, expect him to be a very productive QB on both the ground and through the air.

Where should you draft Richardson?

Richardson has a lot of value as a QB because of his dual-threat ability and the flashes he showed in his playing time a year ago.

The Colts also have some solid weapons surrounding Richardson, adding yet another solid receiver in Texas wideout Adonai Mitchell in the draft this year. Pairing him alongside WR Michael Pittman Jr., WR Josh Downs and RB Jonathan Taylor gives Richardson a lot of help and takes a lot of the pressure off of his shoulders.

These weapons will help Richardson have plenty of threats in the passing game which should help his completion numbers and even his passing yard numbers get a boost.

The big worry with Richardson is the injuries, which is a valid concern as he had an injured rookie campaign and is a physical runner and player overall. However, his experience with injuries in his rookie year may have helped him realize the physicality of the NFL, and may get him to slide more on QB runs so he’ll take less big hits.

Feel confident drafting Richardson as your QB1 as he will provide value as both a passer and runner. Once you get around the 4th-5th round in your draft and start seeing QBs fly off the board, grab Richardson quickly.
