NASCAR’s weather forecast for Richmond Raceway in August 2024

NASCAR’s weather forecast for the Richmond Raceway looks good in 2024. Check out the conditions for the Cup Series race at Richmond!

After a two-week break due to the Paris Olympics, NASCAR will start the weekend at Richmond Raceway soon. In March, the weather cooperated and allowed NASCAR to run the Cup Series race on Sunday; however, it wasn’t without starting on the Wet Weather Tires. With NASCAR ready for Richmond, the forecast looks better than previous days.

According to Weather.com, the weather forecast at Pocono Raceway calls for a high of 86° and a 20% chance of rain on Sunday. This is slightly different from Saturday, which calls for a high of 90° and a 10% chance of rain. In previous days, the forecast looked dreadful for Saturday, but Hurricane Debby left Virginia faster than anticipated.

It is great to see NASCAR have some luck with Mother Nature as it shouldn’t disrupt the weekend in Richmond. NASCAR only has four races left in its regular season in the Cup Series and the hope is that weather issues don’t occur. Richmond is poised to be really fun with the different tire combinations from Goodyear, and the weather will allow the sport to flourish.
