Auburn holds position in EDGE Jordan Carter’s top schools

A battle for one of the top players in the class of 2026, Jordan Carter, has Auburn in a firm race as one of his top considered schools.

Auburn football is making huge strides in the recruiting game as of late, gaining ground on many of the nation’s top high school prospects. While the class of 2025 is still being pursued, heavy efforts are being made for the class of 2026.

One of the nation’s top prospects the 2026 class has to offer, Jordan Carter, is on high watch, and the Tigers are firmly in consideration amongst the star’s top schools after he visited the Plains for Big Cat Weekend.

“Today (Big Cat) was amazing, the atmosphere was great,” Carter said in an interview with Auburn Live. “Being able to hang out with the coaches and some of my friends from different schools was amazing.”

The big man out of Douglas County High School (Ga.) has met with head coach [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and EDGE coach [autotag]Josh Aldridge[/autotag] on multiple occasions, speaking on the strong bond that he has built with Aldridge.

“Coach Aldridge is an amazing coach,” Carter said. “He develops players and then gets them to the NFL. He makes sure every player is ok, and makes sure their families are alright as well.”

Amongst Auburn’s competitors for Carter are Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and LSU, all looking to land a big commitment.

The 6-3, 235-pound junior is currently ranked as the No. 19 overall player and No. 3 EDGE in the country according to the On3 industry ranking. He is also the No. 2 player in the state of Georgia.

The Tigers have the top-ranked recruiting class for the 2026 cycle and a commitment from Carter would make him the highest-rated player in the team’s pool. He would be up there with [autotag]Hezekiah Harris[/autotag] as to standout EDGE rushers in the early going.
