Heading into his first season with the Buffs, former Ohio State tight end Sam Hart is one of several Colorado natives who could play a significant role this fall.
The Buckeyes transfer is currently favored to become Colorado’s starting tight end, a role that the departing Michael Harrison held down admirably last season. Although capable of catching passes, Hart should be most frequently utilized as an extra outside blocker on the Buffs’ new-look offensive line.
A class of 2021 graduate of Cherokee Trail High School in Aurora, Hart spent his first three college seasons at Ohio State before committing to Colorado on March 15.
The 6-foot-5, 255-pound tight end recently spoke with Thee Pregame Show about his return to the Centennial State:
“I feel great,” Hart told Thee Pregame Show. “I love being back home, being with my brothers. I love the coaches, the energy at practice, guys like that (fellow Colorado native Arden Walker). I love it here. I couldn’t be happier. I’m excited for this season.”
