The 2024 college football season is almost here, which means it is time to get ready to root for your Washington Huskies as they begin a new era of football in the Pacific Northwest. Not only will the Huskies move to the Big Ten, but they also have a new head coach leading the way.
Jedd Fisch will make his debut against Weber State on Aug. 31 and will get his first taste of the Apple Cup against the Washington State Cougars in Seattle, Washington, in Week 3. Big Ten play will get underway in Week 4 when UW welcomes Northwestern to Husky Stadium.
We will see a College Football Playoff national championship rematch on Oct. 5 as the Michigan Wolverines journey out west. Neither head coach held that title when they played for all the marbles. Sherrone Moore was the offensive coordinator under Jim Harbaugh, while Fisch was still running the football program at Arizona.
