Texas Longhorns offer to star safety in 2026 class

On Thursday, the Texas Longhorns extended a scholarship offer to safety Bralan Womack, who is in the 2026 class. The Hatfield Academy High School star is ranked as the 26th-best player in his class and the top safety in the nation by 247Sports. If the Longhorns can land Womack, they would add a potential game-changing player to their secondary.

While the Longhorns have clarified their interest, they are not the only program hoping to land Womack. Other schools that have made offers include the Alabama Crimson Tide, Louisville Cardinals, Georgia Bulldogs, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Mississippi State Bulldogs. As he dazzles scouts with his talent, offers should continue to flow in.

Although Womack’s final decision is still months away, he enjoyed his time in Austin. In a post on X, Womack said, ” After a great conversation with Coach Sark, I am extremely blessed to receive an offer from the University of Texas! #HookEM.”

As the Longhorns continue to build for the future, adding Womack would figure to be at the top of their list. He can lockdown elite receivers and make life hard for opponents’ offenses. That trait is something the Longhorns lacked last year.

Until Womack picks a school he will be one prospect that is closely watched with many in Texas hoping that his college career starts in Austin.
