The opening ceremony for the 2024 Paris Olympics was held on Friday in France.
Team USA men’s basketball team will open Olympic play on Sunday against Serbia. The United States and Serbia are competing in Group C, alongside Puerto Rico and South Sudan.
Tipoff for the USA-Serbia game is slated for 11:15 a.m. EDT at Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, France.
Former Vol Uros Plavsic will play for Serbia in the Summer Olympics. He played at Tennessee from 2019-23. Plavsic averaged 3.7 points, 0.5 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game, while shooting 47 percent from the field.
