In Wingo, the Longhorns have a player who provides lots of versatility. He was a dual-threat athlete in high school, competing in track and field during the football offseason. Depth Chart Overview
As Wingo prepares for his first season with the Longhorns, he will join a wide receiver room that looks very different from a year ago. In the NFL draft, Texas lost three of its top playmakers: wide receivers Adonai Mitchell and Xavier Worthy and tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders. While they will not be easy to replace, Wingo is expected to be a key piece of the solution.
