UGA projected to be ranked No. 1 in US LBM coaches poll

The Georgia Bulldogs, who are predicted to be No. 1, are expected to play five ranked opponents this fall

The Georgia Bulldogs are projected to be the top-ranked team in the US LBM coaches poll. We are a month away from Week 0, which features a game between the Florida State Seminoles and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Georgia opens the 2024 college football season against the Clemson Tigers, who are predicted to be ranked No. 17, on Aug. 31. The Bulldogs have a challenging schedule that will test the Dawgs in the first season of the 12-team College Football Playoff era.

Overall, Georgia is set to face five teams that are projected to be ranked in Texas (No. 3), Ole Miss (No. 5), Alabama (No. 6), Tennessee (No. 15) and Clemson (No. 17). Georgia will play four of these five teams away from home.

“The Georgia Bulldogs are 42-2, with two national championships over the last three years,” said College Sports Wire’s Patrick Conn. “With Kirby Smart leading this team and a top NFL talent under center, they are poised to build the next college football dynasty.”

There’s a lot to like about this Georgia team entering 2024 fall camp. The Bulldogs have 15 All-SEC preseason selections and return starting quarterback Carson Beck.
