Oregon Ducks pick up flurry of predictions to land No. 2 RB in 2026 class

The Oregon Ducks picked up a handful of predictions to land a commitment from 4-star RB Tradarian Ball, the No. 2 RB in the 2026 class.

Far be it for Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks to focus on what’s right in front of them and not plan for the future. While the 2025 recruiting class is garnering a lot of current attention in Eugene, the Ducks are getting set up for what could be a very strong 2026 recruiting class as well.

On Sunday afternoon, Oregon picked up a flurry of predictions — three to be exact — to land a commitment from 4-star RB Tradarian Ball, out of Texas High. Ball is rated by the 247 Sports Composite as the No. 33 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 2 RB in the nation.

247Sports national analyst Mike Roach made a prediction, as did On3’s Steve Wiltfong and Charles Powell.

Ball stands at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, and has offers from some of the top teams in the nation, including LSU, Michigan, Miami, Georgia, and Texas A&M.

At the moment, the Ducks have just one commitment in the 2026 class — 4-star DL Tony Cumberland, who committed during Oregon’s season a year ago.

There’s no telling how quickly Ball will choose to make his commitment official, but things seem to be looking good for the Ducks whenever he does.
