Could the Lions be in trouble for not addressing early Amon-Ra St. Brown injury?

Could the Lions be in trouble for not addressing the Amon-Ra St. Brown injury made famous in “Receiver?”

The new Netflix original Receiver has already seen rave reviews as the streaming service nailed another run at getting a deeper look into the personal lives of some of the top wide receivers in the NFL on the heels of Quarterback. One of those receivers is Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.

However, a recent episode may have put the Lions in the crosshairs of the league. Did the Lions hide an injury regarding their star receiver?

On the latest episode of Receiver, it was revealed that Brown suffered an oblique injury during Detroit’s Week 3 game against the Atlanta Falcons. However, the Lions did not put St. Brown on their injury report for Week 4injury report for Week 4, which was on a short week with a Thursday game against the Green Bay Packers.

“We have a Thursday game after Atlanta,” St. Brown said on the show (H/T MSN). “So, I can barely — I mean, I’m running but the pain is like, on a 10 it’s like at an eight. Eight or nine. And so I’m like, ‘It’s too late for me not to play. The game plan’s in.’”

With the Lions being revealed to have no properly placed St. Brown on the injury report, they could be subject to discipline by the league. The Falcons last season were looked into after not addressing what turned out to be headaches for running back Bijan Robinson. In 2019, the Pittsburgh Steelers were fined for not disclosing an injury for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
