What to expect from Seahawks LB Tyrel Dodson

What to expect from Seahawks LB Tyrel Dodson

Of all the position groups undergoing changes for 2024, none will look as radically different than the linebacking corps. Gone are longtime mainstays like the legendary Bobby Wagner, or former first round pick Jordyn Brooks. Replacing them are a pair of former AFC East starters in Jerome Baker from Miami and Tyrel Dodson from Buffalo.

Today we emphasize a bit on Dodson. Bills insider Ryan O’Halloran recently spoke with Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune in regards to Dodson. Ultimately, Dodson was pressed into service following a season ending injury to starter Matt Milano, and he took full advantage of his opportunity. Dodson set career highs in tackles (74) and sacks (2.5).

O’Halloran and Bell’s conversation can be heard in the Tweet below.

Bell’s comment about the PUP list being a shock to those in Buffalo is notable. Yesterday, it was announced Dodson would begin training camp on said list, alongside fellow likebacker Jerome Baker and tackle Abe Lucas.

As of now, the nature of Dodson’s injury is undisclosed. But with the whole team reporting to camp by next Tuesday, presumably more information will come out regarding this setback.

Seahawks Wire will be sure to update with any new information on Dodson’s injury.
