HS Top Recruits is reporting that Funches has heard from Michigan State, Cal, Kansas, Kansas State, Memphis, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU, Louisville, Gonzaga, Tennessee, Houston, NC State and New Orleans during the Augusta Live event.

Funches ranks as the No. 1 center and No. 21 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also listed as the No. 1 player from Mississippi in the class.
