Jordan Walsh wants to play more with the Boston Celtics in 2024-25

“That’s where I’m at now,” he said.

In his rookie season, Boston Celtics second-year forward Jordan Walsh spent most of his time in Portland playing with the Maine Celtics at the G League level, but the Arkansas alum wants to earn more time with the parent club this season.

“It’s a goal I’ve set for myself, for sure,” said Walsh via CLNS Media’s Bobby Manning. “Obviously, the front office and them believe in me. They think that I have a chance. So as long as that window’s open, I’m going to try my hardest to get through it. I feel like at the end of the day, me realizing that I’m still 20 years old, I still have a lot of time, a lot of growth.”

“But also at the same time knowing I have to make constant improvements to my game,” added Walsh. “So just staying in that mindset knowing that I have to improve, but I can also be good for now to be able to help the team now.”

Walsh has not exactly had the best start to his run at this summer’s Las Vegas Summer League, but that isn’t going to deter the Dallas native.

“That’s where I’m at now,” he said, “and that’s how I’m moving through the Summer League and how I’ll move throughout training camp and the season.”
